Dealing With Liars

(If you don't want to read a negativity filled rant, I highly advise you NOT read this post!  Don't say I didn't warn you!)

I have loved my time as a blogger.  I have met many amazing people and some of the emails I've received have really touched my heart.  But the downside to all this is dealing with the fakes and liars.  I will admit that I tend to take people at their word and believe what they tell me.  I wouldn't say I'm naive, but I a definitely too trusting.

In the last 3 months, I have met some very fake and insincere people.  It makes me laugh when someone emails me for advice then I see them passing along that same advice, verbatim, as their own.  I've had guys lie to be about their location because they knew I wouldn't send them a picture if I knew they were from Hawaii.  I've had guys lie and tell me they are single and then I find out they are married or have a girlfriend.  I don't know why guys feel the need to lie about this because when someone emails me, it doesn't matter if they are single or not. Along those lines, I've also had many older guys lie to me about their age and tell me they were younger than they really are.

I've also had people who lie about such stupid things.  I had one person tell me about their own sexual encounters with various partners then turn around and write on Tumblr that they'd only been with a couple of partners.  What is the point of that?  Either you're lying to me about the sexual encounters or you're lying about how many people you've slept with.  Personally, I don't associate with liars.  If I catch you in a lie, you better believe you will never hear from me again.

Maybe some people don't care about this stuff.  I bet some people will read this and think this post is so lame.  I really don't care.  I take a very vested interest in my readers.  When someone emails me and needs my help or advice, I take it to heart.  I've offered my personal cell phone number to a few people because I felt they might need to hear a caring voice.  Lying is a huge thing with me.  I feel like if you're willing to lie about something small or meaningless, then you're just as willing to lie about something more important.  And if that's the case, I have no desire to be your friend, even if it is just through emails.  I will devote my time to sincere readers who need my advice or a friend to talk to.  I have no time for liars.

Despite how frustrated I get with the liars and fakes, I will NOT stop blogging.  I love sharing my stories with all of you and I'm not going to let a few assholes ruin it.  I love my readers and to those who have taken the time to email me and share your stories, experiences, feelings, comments, and thoughts, THANK YOU!  I continue to blog because of you.

The lesson from all this is to not waste your time lying to me.  There's no reason to.  I will talk to you if you have a wife or girlfriend and need my advice.  I will talk to you if you're a virgin or if have slept with 100+ people.  I don't care if you're 18 or 81.  Ahhh, thank you for letting me vent.  I feel better already!  And for the liars and fakes, FUCK YOU!  Okay, I'm done now.  I have a great sexual encounter planned for late tomorrow night and I will make up for this negative post with the recap of that encounter, I promise :)

  1. I think sometimes people lie because they want you to think they are as great as they think you are.
And sometimes the lie for much more sinister reasons.

    I'm not sure how old you are (I'm sure I could go look, but quite frankly, my asthma meds are kicking in, and I'm sleeeeeeepy) but if there's one thing I've learned in my old age it's this;

Take EVERYONE with a grain of salt.

You get spam e-mails, I'm sure. You know, deposed Nigerian Prince SomeoneOrOther wants you to hold his money, all he needs is your bank account info.
You're smart enough to see through that, no doubt.

    Sometimes this is no different.
If you take everyone with a grain of salt for a bit, the fake people will eventually get worn down, tired of working on you, and move along to someone else.

I know, it sounds a little grim, but it works.

    Chin up, pretty girl! :)

  2. I wish that I had more time to devote being online and being here and that's the truth! :) I love the stories or just you sharing. I imagine it's me in bed with you as you have fun with your fb. Please don't stop blogging....from a horny caucasian in asia(because u make me horny.....Ken :)

  3. Dear, this is the sweetest "negativity-filled rant" I've ever read. My happy posts are filled with much more negativity and ire. I once had to tutor an old friend of mine on how to be mean. She's much more fun now that I've corrupted her.

  4. I would never lie about looking EXACTLY like Brad Pitt or having the sexual prowess of a caged lion or owning 15 islands or having a cock so big they need to give me two cubes at the office - one for work and one to let my dick free. That's not the kind of man I am. I mean... everything I rattled off just now is 110% true, but that's just not me.

  5. OK, fine, I'll come clean. I'm married though she hates me, I'm employed, but hate my job and I'm no good at it. My employees are lazy, my advisers worthless, and if I didn't get to fly around in Air Forces One, being president would totally suck. I'm sorry if I told you I was a middle-age white guy from California.

  6. This post caught my eye because, while the internet abounds with liars, people rarely write about it lol.
I think people who lie do so not so much because they're afraid to be judged, but because they don't like something about themselves.
Your post may have been negative, but I like it lol.

    And the picture is priceless.

  7. Jen - Thank you for your kind, insightful words. I really do appreciate it. And I am 29 (I'm so old!)

Northernguy - Don't worry. I won't stop blogging because of a few idiots. It just gets frustrating at times.

Maxwell - I'm not sure if you're complimenting or insulting me. lol. Either way, I think my blog tends to have an upbeat note and I wanted to put a warning because this post is nothing like the others I write. I can be a mega bitch if I need to, but I didn't feel I needed to be in that mode to write this post. If I need some of your teachings in the future, I will let you know :)

Buddha - Wait, so which parts aren't true? Just as long as the big cock part is true, we can still be friends lol

Advizor - Oh, you're so silly. You've never lied to me and truth be told, I'm glad you're not the President. lol

Lil - Thank you for your kind words. I've been debating whether to write this post or not for over a week and I'm glad I did it.

  8. I know how you feel. It sucks being lied to. Other people could just say, "Oh just move on. They don't matter." But well, you can't just "move on" if you're really pissed. It's not like a switch you can just turn on and off. When you're pissed, you're pissed. When you're offended, you're offended.

    It's good to rant, isn't it?? :)

  9. Gnetch - Yes, it's good to rant and vent. I felt better when I posted it. And you're right. It's not easy to just brush it off and move on when someone lies to me. I feel betrayed and hurt and then angry. But I realize that I have to take the good with the bad and the good people I've met definitely outweigh the bad!
