Yes, I believe that men and women can be just friends. I know some people will beg to differ, but I can just speak from my experiences. I have friends whom I've known for 5+ years and we have never hooked up, kissed, or held hands. One of my good friends is white, but I am not attracted to him. When I tell people this, they find it hard to believe me. Their common response is, "...but don't you like white guys?" Yes, I do. But not all white guys. I still need the attraction. My friend is tall, fit, has blue eyes, and a great smile. Would most people assume I'm attracted to him? Yes, probably. I see girls checking him out every time we hang out. And yes, I know he's handsome. But still, when I see him, I think of him as a brother, not a lover.
I am very thankful for the friends I have. This particular friend has been there for me thru all the good and bad moments in my life. He has never caused me any drama. I told him that if only we had that sexual chemistry, we would probably be dating and someday married. If only life were that easy!
